Day 1 - Tokyo

After a long day of traveling, you take a taxi/uber to Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo for check - in. Synonymous with Tokyo’s unapologetically rambunctious nightlife and entertainment scene, Shinjuku is a city in its own right. With a slew of pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants from Irish pubs serving draft beer to a block of bars east of Kabukicho that preserves the Tokyo of the 1960s, there is never a dull moment in Shinjuku.

The central ward is divided into Higashi (east) and Nishi (west) Shinjuku by the train lines that run through Shinjuku Station, which is merely approximately 20 minutes away from Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo on foot. The Citadines apart’hotel sits in the midst of the action, making it an ideal location for first-time visitors to get their bearings.

After getting settled in your room, you are ready to get out and explore Shinjuku.

Start the day exploring Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and various plant species.

From there, head to the bustling Shinjuku shopping district. Explore malls like Isetan, Odakyu, Takashimaya, Keio, Lumine, or Mylord Department Store and shop for souvenirs and fashion items.

Try local Japanese cuisine for lunch. Shinjuku has numerous restaurants serving ramen, sushi, or tempura. You can also find international options.

Golden Gai is a popular area in Tokyo, known for its small, unique bars and a glimpse into Tokyo's nightlife culture. Take a stroll through here or over to Tokyo’s red light district Kabukicho.

Depending on your interests, you can catch a show at the Robot Restaurant or explore the vibrant nightlife of Shinjuku, including karaoke bars and lounges.

Remember to adapt this itinerary based on your interests and pace. Shinjuku offers something for everyone, whether you're interested in nature, shopping, or nightlife.
